Please join us for a video presentation about autism in its various forms, and the challenges and heartbreak that accompany it. Learn that a child’s potential does not have to end with the diagnosis of autism, that it is not a "life sentence". Watch as professionals and volunteers at the Autism Treatment Center in Sheffield, Massachusetts gently guide parents toward a new understanding of their autistic child’s condition, one that will enable them to help the child find his own way to full recovery from this isolating disease.
For fifteen months Topher Fraser was an alert, observant, and responsive baby. Then his personality abruptly changed, and he became isolated in a world that no one else could understand or enter. His budding communication skills were stolen from him, and he was reduced to a single form of communication – screaming. Topher was diagnosed with autism.
Autism is a developmental disability which causes challenges in language, communication, emotion, cognition, behavior and social interaction. Topher’s mom, Cherise Fraser, is helping him overcome his autism with dietary intervention, speech and occupational therapy, and a special class at school. The next step is to incorporate the home-based, child-centered Son-Rise® program.
