Governor Crist to attend the Family Cafe.

Earlier this afternoon, the Governor's office confirmed that Governor Crist WILL be on hand at The 12th Annual Family Cafe.

At 11:30 on Friday, June 18, the Governor will join us in the Coronado Ballroom to speak with Family Cafe attendees.

Immediately following his remarks, Governor Crist will host signing ceremonies for two pieces of legislation. The first of these, SB 1070, is best known as the Restraint & Seclusion bill. It requires teachers to be trained to identify and care for children with disabilities, and creates requirements for the use of restraint and seclusion on children with disabilities in our schools. The second, SB 1166, alters APD rules for community residential homes within planned residential communities.
