A dozen parents of children with disabilities called on Florida’s elected officials to make special needs funding a priority in Tallahassee during a town hall meeting at Edison State College Wednesday.
The meeting, which ran from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., was hosted by state Rep. Trudi Williams, R-Fort Myers, and Eden Autism Services, a New Jersey-based autism support organization. Williams is the mother of a child with a learning disability.
Although the turnout wasn’t large, those that attended voiced their concerns loud and clear.
