With a possible budget shortfall of 2.25 million in 2012, state agencies are being asked to suggest another 10 percent cut of their agencies. The Agency For Persons With Disabilities should be spared from these cuts. They have already taken cuts that are too deep.

In 2008, Jane Johnson, former director of The Agency For Persons With Disabilities, and current budget chief for health care for Governor Scott said, "We made huge progress, unfortunately we made it on the backs of families and providers, (6:45 on video)" when she spoke about balancing the APD budget.

Some say managed care is the answer, but in 2008 when Jane Johnson was asked what the worst care scenario would be for APD, she said for the program to be "dumped into managed care."
