The Agency for Health Care Administration is pleased to announce the formation of an Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) Technical Advisory Panel. Many of you have expressed interest in other closely related workgroups and panels and we wanted to take this opportunity to give you a little information on this new panel. You can find the meeting schedule and member list below and very soon we will have a webpage up and running where you can obtain the agendas and discussion material for each IGT TAP meeting.

We have set up the following website for the IGT TAP which will include meeting agendas and discussion material as they become available. If you plan to participate in the IGT TAP meetings, we encourage you to bookmark this link as the quickest and easiest way to obtain the meeting material.


Intergovernmental Transfer Technical Advisory Panel
Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) Technical Advisory Panel Purpose:

In accordance with Senate Bill 1484 (Chapter 2010-144, Laws of Florida), Section 2, the Agency Secretary shall appoint and convene a technical advisory panel to advise the Agency in the study and development of intergovernmental transfer distribution methods. The panel shall include representatives from contributing hospitals, medical schools, local governments, and managed care plans. The panel shall advise the agency regarding the best methods for ensuring the continued availability of intergovernmental transfers, specific issues to resolve in negotiations with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and appropriate safeguards for appropriate implementation of any developed payment methodologies.
