Change in Home Health and Inpatient Prior Authorization

Effective June 1, 2011, all requests for prior authorization of inpatient medical and surgical (including inpatient rehabilitation) admissions and home health (private duty nursing, home health visits, and personal care) services must be requested through our new contractor, eQHealth Solutions. eQHealth Solutions will now provide the services currently provided by KePRO. In order to request authorization for inpatient and home health services, you must have a logon for eQHealth�s system, eQsuite.

In order to obtain a logon with eQHealth, you must submit a provider contact form and attend an eQSuite web based training session. If you have not been able to attend one of the live web based training sessions held this month, there are pre-recorded audio/visual versions of the web based training sessions for each provider type accessible via eQHealth�s website. All the relevant information and documents are posted on the eQHealth website, http://fl.eqhs.org.

There is not a lot of time left to request a logon from eQHealth in order to be ready to submit requests for authorization on June 1, 2011. eQHealth will continue to process requests in priority order as they are received, so if you have not done so already, please submit your contact form as soon as possible.
