Effective September 1, 2011, all companion services will be authorized for reimbursement at the base rate of $1.68, regardless of the number of consumers served. This rate will still be adjusted according to geographical location and whether the service was provided by an independent provider or agency provider.
This change to companion service rates will not alter the total amount of services authorized on your cost plan, but as a Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) participant, it may affect your monthly budget and purchasing plan.
If you need additional information regarding these changes, please contact your Consultant. These rate adjustments do not affect your authorized services; only the amount that providers are paid for your services.
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities is committed to protecting your health and safety. Section 393.0661(7), Florida Statutes, provides the Agency authority to adjust rates as necessary to comply with the availability of monies provided for in the General Appropriations Act, including the rates for companion services.
